Natasha and Richard – Summer Wedding at The Great Lodge, Essex
Natasha and Richard’s Dreamy Summer Wedding.
Last September Natasha and Richard’s were married at The Great Lodge in Essex. Their day centred round having fun with their family and friends, with wine and musicals being at the heart of all their special details – a dream couple!
The Great Lodge was perfect for their stunning outdoor ceremony in the glorious sunshine, the most incredible space for a summer wedding, we were so lucky with the weather – it was my only summer weekend wedding where it didn’t rain!
Natasha looked absolutely breathtaking in her Morilee dress – seriously, it was like something out of a bridal magazine. Her bridal party in the most gorgeous mix and match autumn colours, with fried bouquets from Hidden Botanicals – Pure perfection.
Richard and his groomsmen looked sharp in suit from Chimney Formal Wear that had the traditional feel with a modern twist.
Now, let’s get to the good stuff – the food! Natasha and Richard knew how to treat their guests right with grazing platters from Daisy Graze catering. Picture this: a spread of delicious cheeses, meats, and all the yummy nibbles you could ever want. To finish off the bride herself had baked a tower of delicious sweet treats – I even left with a bounty of dairy free chocolate they had sweetly provided.
The decor focused on two things close to both their (and my) heats – Musical and wine! Why not combine two of the best things in life? A unique wine bottle table plan, a wine bottle guest book, the worlds biggest wine glass as an ice bucket and quotes from heir favourite musical Dear Evan Hansen tied into the rustic venue beautifully – it was the perfect blend of elegance and personality.
Natasha and Richard wanted nothing more than to share their love with their nearest and dearest, from a cocktail hour with personalised drink glasses and games for the kids (or adults). To feeding the farm’s alpacas and caricature in the evening – always something to keep the guests having the best time.
The Great Lodge is a photographers dream, a beautiful back drop for couples portraits at every corner – The house, the lake, sunset over the amazing driveway and the vineyards in full bloom in the summer. Safe to say it’s one of my favourite venues so far.
Natasha and Richard did a beautiful first dance to Only Us from Dear Evan Hansen, which had me sobbing from behind my camera! Then with epic music from Kissed and Crowned they danced the night away surrounded by their loved ones – an epic dancefloor!
Congratulations Natasha and Richard – thank you so much for choosing me to capture this amazing day, one I am not likely to ever forget!
